At first, Dummy is annoyed by Lina cleaning Thomas’s shop. He shouts at her to stop being loud, but eventually becomes friendly and lets her take the missing book from his cage.

Why do you think Dummy changes his mind about Lina? Is there another character you suspect might also have changed their mind about her?

I think the reason Dummy changed his mind about Lina is because he was so used to people disliking him that he was surprised by Lina liking his singing.

I think because Lina listened to his singing and praised him for the beautiful singing, so Dummy felt truly seen, understood, and validated — something he rarely experienced. After all, everyone wants to be seen, understood, and affirmed. Dummy is no exception.
