When she first arrives at Picotto Hall, Lina does not feel at home. But after meeting John and Icchan, she starts to feel better.
Are there people in your life who make you feel at home?
2. Who makes you feel at home, even in new places?

My hubby is my best friend and happy place! I feel myself, safe and “at home” with him no matter where we are.

Re: 2. Who makes you feel at home, even in new places?
I like the question, but when thinking about Lina‘s situation I was wondering not what makes me feel at home (now) but what helped me in similar situations (new job, new school, new place of living). It is - in my perspective - always a matter of people, and personally I think just 1 person is enough to make you feel at home. If you come to some place new, and we all do at certain points in our lives, we can only hope that there is this 1 person who understands how it is to be new to a place/group/whatever, and takes care of you in the beginning. If you are lucky enough to be the outgoing type and take care of introductions yourself - fair enough, but not everyone is.
And finally answering the question: to feel at home, I personally like to have the loved ones around in addition to familiar surroundings.
In Lina‘s case we have the special situation that she gets along well with everybody (well, let‘s see Ms. Picotto as a possible exception…) and that for sure makes you feel at home there - however the time is not that long, so I suppose after a while she would start missing her father. Is it really a feeling of being at home, or just feeling good enough that she is not worrying about not being home? For feeling at home I think there might be other things than just people, even though you could possibly accommodate…

The people who make me feel at home in new places are my little sisters, my parents, my besties and sometimes just being brave helps.
